What is a Computer?
A computer is an electronic device, which executes software programs. It consists of 2 parts-hardware and software . The computer processes input through input devices like mouse and keyboard. The computer displays output through output devices like color monitor and printer. The size of a computer varies considerably from very small to very big. The speed of computers also has a very large range. Computers have become indispensable in today’s world. Millions of people use computers all over the world. A computer is a machine that manipulates data according to a list of instructions.A computer can also be defined as an electronic machine that accepts input (data), processes it and gives out results(information)Computer organization at a glance [edit]A basic computer consists of three major components: CPU (Central Processing Unit), IO (Input/Output), and Memory as illustrated .Data comes through Input and the CPU processes the data based on a program which is in Memory. The result is returned to Memory or is presented to the user.CPU itself consists of Arithmetic and Logic Unit(ALU), Control Unit(CU) and Registers.A Computer-based system A Computer-based system is a system in which a computer is involved and consists of three major elements: Hardware, Software, and User.
Computer is a synonym of the human life. Where we can do our vivid works with the help of computer.
